The new HEB store is expected to open in Fall of 2017. Many residents are excited! The small pantry store is expected to close eventually (although, I don’t think it will).
Now is a great time to head over to the Hiring Office located at 1528 Normal Park Dr, close to Prosperity Bank on 11th St. Call the Office at 936-293-8954.
HEB offers flexible hours to high school and college students, as well as plenty of opportunity to build a career working for HEB.
What does HEB stand for? Here-Everything’s-Better
HEB offers benefits and Manager training.
I have worked at HEB in the past and I am a regular shopper there. Love it!
The new store will offer:
- Great Customer Service
- Curbside Grocery Pick-up. Order your fresh groceries online and pick them up at the front of HEB in about 5 minutes.
- Cooking Connection with daily samples and demonstrations of recipes you can cook at home.
- Children’s Cooking Classes
- Gas Station with a Car Wash-it works! The soap smells good and it gets your car clean. I’ve used them at other HEB Gas Stations.
- Not to mention, the design of the new shopping center will be attractive.
Congressman Kevin Brady (our local congressman) will be speaking at the Reagan Ranch in California today to make an important announcement.
Kevin Brady has been serving our area for 20 years and we are fortunate because he is now serving as the Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. One of the most powerful positions a Congressman can hold.
Why does this benefit us?
Kevin Brady represents our district. He is accountable to us, as voters, to be re-elected every 2 years. He wants to be sure that our needs and desires are represented in Congress.
What will he be announcing today?
Congressman Brady will be speaking to all of the American People about the reasons why they should support the new plan to simplify the Tax Code. It includes filing your taxes on a postcard, no more IRS forms.
Congress will have to work together to get the new Tax Code passed. It is meant to make our lives better. It will lower taxes for everyone and allow businesses to create more jobs. It will promote economic growth. That benefits us all.
Congressman Brady’s speech will be live at 4:30 this afternoon, August 16th. You can watch it live on the Ways and Means Committee Facebook page. Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/WaysandMeans/
Don’t forget to Like the above Facebook page to stay up-to-date on the progress of the proposed Tax Bill.

Attending a performance is a great date night or even a father/daughter, mother/son date night. It’s also great for the whole family and the grandparents. You will get to experience our local culture at a great price.
